Being true

This whole duality has been confusing. I’ve been, for most if my life, content to remain hidden. It’s only within the past year that I’ve come out into the open, embracing this other side of me, the true side.

I know that the time will come that I’ll.have to choose who is real and who is not. Will Joe win, or will Stefani? I am both and yet somehow neither.

The greatest thing I have done is begin volunteering in Amarillo as Stef. It’s like I’ve found a place to belong. It’s at once scary and liberating. I just wonder hiw many people I will lose in the process.

TRUE friends might question… they may not even get it. To be honest, I didn’t get it. HOWEVER…. a True friend is going to get past /their/ feelings and embrace you for who you are, not /what/ you are. A True friend is going to accept you, they are going to tell it like it is in their own heart, and then they are going to go on with life being your friend as if nothing ever happened. The ones who leave are either, A: not strong enough to be able to support you even in their own honesty or trouble with the situation, or B: not your true friend in the first place.
I truly believe that God doesn’t make mistakes. That’s me. So you believe something different. That’s free will. I embrace you for you because God embraces me for me. Who am I to say/judge any different?
    Who is ANYONE?
Friends come and go. True friends are like family. Take what you need and leave the rest. And all is well. (((HUGS)))
