Hi everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I’m scheduled to have a new book review go live tomorrow, but I seem to have run into a bit of a snag. My book died. That’s not a line I ever thought I would write. I wonder if anyone has used that as an excuse for not doing homework.
That’s what I get for waiting until the last minute to read the book, but that’s on me. I will post my review for Back from Chaos sometime Monday afternoon, probably before 6. My Kindle is charging and I will resume working on it as soon as I can.
In the meantime, I will write on a project I started not long ago. I have no real plans for it. It’s just something I’m working on to keep myself busy. I’m not even going to share details with you on this one.
I also bought a couple of books yesterday from the Barnes & Noble in Amarillo. One, Splintered by A. G. Howard, caught my attention due to the awesome artwork on the dust jacket. Also, she’s slated to do a book signing next Saturday. I’m thinking about showing up. I hope I’m not the old, creepy guy there. I may need to take someone else, my niece perhaps?
Then to satisfy my adult male ego, I bought Fall of Giants by Ken Follett. I’m already familiar with his works, having read Pillars of the Earth several years ago. I’ve been meaning to buy the sequel for some time. It’s on my ever-expanding list.
I should stop procrastinating, since that’s why I’m dealing with a dead book to begin with. Technology is great, but sometimes it’s a pain in the rear. That’s why I love actual books. They never need to be charged, and they smell great!
Good night!
